Quinn, the athlete

Quinn (aka Harleigh Quinn Rabbit) is very active. His binkies are superb. He climbs and jumps places I never thought to bunny proof. He's unbelievably fast.

  • I just read all your postings and have enjoyed your point of view and experiences. I have had an assortment of rabbits over the last few decades and have used various types of cages for them. I notice that you use a litter box with cat litter in it. How do you get the rabbit to not scratch out all the litter? I've had rabbits who used the box but who also scratched around in it and made a big mess. I also had a rabbit who never used the bathroom in his cage. Every morning early he scratched the door to his cage, and when let out, went over to papers placed in a corner of the enclosed porch where his cage was located and used the bathroom on those papers. In his adventures of hopping about our huge, old house, he rarely chewed on things. However, I had two females who chewed on lots of stuff: electrical wires, shoes, and books, to name a few items. I even raised rabbits for a while when I lived in Florida and in Richmond, VA, but currently only have one lovable male bunny named Ambrosius. I prefer male bunnies over females as pets, for I have found that females tend to bite or scratch when in heat or when scared. Every male I've ever had, and I've had lots, has turned out to be a big baby with laying upside down in the crook of my arm, allowing me to give him baths, trim his nails, and brush him.
